A rainbow appears so rarely and disappears so quickly. I have always felt this is exactly how true beauty behaves. It does not stay long enough for us to fully comprehend it. Woman Rainbow is my attempt to hold that moment still: the instant when the light breaks into every colour at once, and a woman stands at the centre of it, neither asking permission nor offering an explanation.
