I have always believed that human beings and the natural world follow the same rhythms. We simply forget to pay attention. Two Moons Conjunction was painted during a period when I was thinking about cycles: emotions that return like weather systems, desire that follows its own tide. The richer colours here were a deliberate decision. I wanted to paint the exact moment when two forces recognise each other.

Continuing the theme of body and nature, the artist takes a further step, this time using richer colours to reunite the two essential elements: the human being and the natural world.

Have you ever considered how closely human nature mirrors nature itself? What triggers the mechanism within a person that causes them to behave in ways as unpredictable as a storm, as gentle as a breeze? Can a person be tamed as easily as we imagine nature can?

In this painting, you will find the answer in the harmony between these two forces, where neither conquers the other.
